Ceramide: A necessity to maintain healthy skin
Commonly found in skin care products, ceramide is a natural component of human skin that supports the function of all five layers of the epidermis. It links cells together to form a waterproof, protective barrier. Ceramide levels in healthy skin are plentiful. Lower levels of ceramide may be found in dry, damaged, and inflamed skin.
