Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Month in September celebrates the courage of those living with spinal cord injuries and their loved ones

This spinal cord injury month, we aim to improve the support for those with SCI and educate the general public to enhance the well-being of those living with SCI

HOW TO OBSERVE #SCIAwarenessMonth

All through September, SCI Awareness Month offers opportunities to get involved:

  • Advocate – Advocate for yourself and teach others how to advocate for you to enhance opportunities available for others living with a SCI
  • Share – Take to social media and share information regarding fundraisers, voluntary resources, or even your own story
  • Support Listen and learn from the experiences of others living with a SCI and support their goals

Post your events and stories on social media using #SCIAwarenessMonth #SCIWontStopMe #SelfCath #HollisterContinenceCare #HolliSTARS #BladdersMatter #BladderHealth #WheelchairLife #ContinenceCare

Life after SCI creates circumstances most people rarely think about

Life after SCI may involve:

  • Accessible home adaptations and an adaptive vehicle, wheelchair lift, or ramps
  • Outside support, assistance, and medical care
  • Bowel and bladder management

We are committed to helping empower those who use our products with the independence to maintain a rewarding and dignified life. Intermittent self-catheterization (ISC) is the gold standard for emptying your bladder.

We know ISC is often overlooked, and that information on it is hard to find. That’s why we are shedding a light on stories, thoughts, and experiences that aren’t usually discussed. We want to increase understanding of self-catheterisation and empower more people – now and in the future
