Lithuania Facility

Our newest facility in Kaunas, Lithuania is being built with sustainable materials and utilizes natural sunlight, rainwater, lower-energy equipment, heat pumps, better insulation, and clean energy sources that reduce our carbon footprint. The building has been certified for A CLASS designation, which indicates that it is environmentally friendly and energy efficient.

The Netherlands Facility

Opened in 2018, this facility was specially designed to incorporate water and waste recycling, solar power generations, natural sunlight, and thermal insulation. It also uses electric material handling equipment, and heat pumps. All timber used in the construction of the building was responsibly grown and harvested. The facility also offers parking spaces for electric cars, and a bicycle shed to encourage associates to bike to work.

We maintain a vibrant and healthy environment for the biodiversity that resides on and around our locations. Our manufacturing facility in Ballina, Ireland and our headquarters in Libertyville, Illinois in the United States are near conservation areas. We’ve taken steps to ensure that neither our land nor these nature preserves are affected by our operations.

Before our facilities in The Netherlands were being built, we took special care to commission an ecological study of the plants and animals that inhabit the space. We used this information in the design of the site with safe areas created for bats and birds, and additional plants selected that would grow well in the landscape and attract other wildlife.

Our Bawal, India plant is also working to maintain and enhance its natural landscape. Each June, associates at the facility plant 150 trees on the eve of World Environment Day.

Several of our facilities have worked diligently to earn energy efficiency and sustainability certifications. These include:

Ballina, Ireland Manufacturing Facility – accredited to ISO 14001:2015   and is regulated by Ireland’s Environmental Protection Agency to the highest international standards

Kaunas, Lithuania Distribution Center – certified for A CLASS designation

Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, United States Distribution Center – LEED certification silver status  

Roosendaal, the Netherlands Distribution Center – BREEAM 3-star certified
